Experiencing Aruba

I don't know about you but I have a list of places I want to experience in my lifetime here on earth. Aruba was one of them. My husband and I celebrated 18 yrs of marriage this January. I wanted nothing more than to be a beach somewhere sunny on our special day and that's exactly what we did.

Aruba is the type of island that immediately gives you that "good vibe". It's the type of place where EVERY vehicle will stop for you when you cross the street. Nobody is in a rush and everyone is happy and easy going. You honestly feel every ounce of stress melt away from your body the minute you land. We embraced 7 days of this and it was wonderful.

When we were on the plane ride down we sat next to a woman and her husband that had been going to the island for over 10 yrs. By the time we landed we had a list in our hand of the best restaraunts on the island, the closest location to us for groceries, what to expect and much more.
She couldn't say enough things about this "happy island" that we were about to visit!

We had a condo booked at the Divi Beach & Golf Resort. Fantastic location, yummy food, excellent facilities and wonderful condo.

Now I am not a "foodie" and I never do research about good places to eat. However; we decided to hit up the most recommended place of fine dining the day of our anniversary. WOW. Probably one of the most amazing meals I have ever had. If you are going to visit the island; I would call when you get there and make yourself a reservation. It's a tad pricey but totally worth every penny! Check out Chalet Suisse

Our week was filled with alot of beach time ... ALOT of beach time. Now Aruba is windy and I was a tad worried about this but it was wonderful. When it's that hot ALL day that ocean breeze is great. The white sandy beaches and the clear water is something I could stare at for days.

One of the highlites of our trip is we went scuba diving. We instantly saw some turtles and that was so excting! We have only dove two times; one in Costa Rica and Aruba. Both times we dove with ScubaCaribe and they are fantastic and we highly recommend them!

Would we go back? That's the question everyone asks when you return home. Yes we would. Not sure if we will only because there are SO many other places on our list to explore.

This little tiny island is a must see .. add it to your travel list.
